350.org is a global grassroots environmental organization founded in 2008 by Bill McKibben and a group of college students. The organization's primary focus is on addressing climate change by advocating for policies that aim to reduce carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million, which is considered a safe upper limit to avoid the most severe impacts of global warming. 350.org mobilizes a worldwide network of activists and volunteers to organize climate-related campaigns, protests, and events.
