The Bloomberg Arts Internship (BAI) program provides rising high school seniors in five cities with seven-week, paid summer internships with local arts and culture organizations in Baltimore, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The program provides interns with work experience at select cultural institutions, as well as work-readiness and college-preparation training. Interns also participate in supplementary activities in their city designed to provide meaningful workforce experience, develop knowledge of the creative sector as a career path, encourage awareness of culture as a civic resource, and prepare to apply to and transition into college.
Program terms and application processes vary slightly by location, but in general interns are expected to work 30-37 hours a week from late June to mid August. Individual program information and applications can be found here: Baltimore | Boston | New York City | Philadelphia | Washington, D.C.
