The Blue Ocean Competition is the largest, most prestigious virtual pitch competition in the world. The Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition is a virtual competition that attracts the very best high school-aged entrepreneurs from all over the world. Every year, thousands of high school students pitch their innovative business concepts to experienced entrepreneurs and business people, receive feedback on their ideas, join a community of like-minded students, and compete for thousands in cash prizes.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Any high school student aged 14-18 can compete individually or as part of a team
  • Participants must complete the online Blue Ocean Mini-Course before submitting their pitch.

Deadline

  • February 22, 2026

Application or Entry Requirements

  • All participants must register for the competition. If you’re working with a team, all team members must register for the competition.
  • Completion of the online Blue Ocean Mini-Course before submitting pitch
  • Pitches must be original and not copied from somewhere else
  • All pitches must be in English
  • Pitches should be video files and must be under 5 minutes in length; files must be under 1 GB
  • Upload your blue ocean pitch to YouTube with the hashtag #blueoceancompetition and include a link to the published video when submitting your entry on the pitch submission form.

  • Top 100: April 6, 2026
  • Top 30: April 22, 2026
  • Top 10: May 4, 2026
  • Winners Announced: May 13, 2026

Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneurs Corporation is a nonprofit organization that aims to empower student entrepreneurs in the United States. The organization was founded in 2011 by high school students who wanted to provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to network, learn, and grow their businesses. Blue Ocean exposes student entrepreneurs to business, helps them shape a novel business concept, and assists in identifying seed funding and support.
