Jump into the world of finance and get a sneak peek into what financial analysts do on a day-to-day basis with the Boston Leadership Institute. Students will be exposed to the mathematical concepts and techniques used in finance and how to apply them to financial markets such as the stock market. This course may cover bond valuation, stock valuation, dividends, developing forecasts, spotting trends, options/pricing, cash flow, seasonality and trend. Boston is one of the top financial hubs and is home to major money managers such as Fidelity Investments and Putnam Investments. Quantitative skills are in such a high demand in the financial field and lead to a variety of high paying career paths.
This three-week summer program is designed for teens interested in business & math.

Cost/Compensation
- 3-Week Tuition: $2,500
- 3-Week Residency Fee: $2,097 (housing, 3 meals per day, staff supervision)
- Additional services, such as transportation to/from the airport and linens, are available for an additional fee
Eligibility Requirements
- Students must be teens in 8th grade or higher.
- Students must be US citizens.
Deadline
- No deadline, but earlier applications have a better chance for acceptance.
Application or Entry Requirements
- Completion of a detailed online application which includes information about coursework and G.P.A.
- A statement of no more than 250 words answering why the Boston Leadership Institute a good fit for you, why are you interested in attending, which programs you are considering the most strongly and why, and information about your interests, experiences, career/life goals, or activities that have contributed to your desire to attend and program choice(s).
- Accepted students will be asked to send an unofficial transcript or report card at a later date.
Notifications of Decisions
- Both the parent and the student will receive an email informing the family of a decision within 7-10 days.

- Students eligible for scholarship must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, Honors, AP, or IB science courses in High School
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, AP, or IB math courses in High School
- Have a minimum grade of B+ or higher in the aforementioned classes
- Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 or attended a competitive admissions school, and
- Have a household income of $80,000 or less.
