British International Education Association International STEM Youth Innovation Competition
The British International Education Association (BIEA) International STEM Youth Innovation Competition (often simply called the BIEA International STEM Competition) is a prestigious global contest aimed at students aged 6 to 21 designed to encourage innovative STEM solutions addressing real-world challenges. The annual competition invites young innovators to create STEM-based solutions for pressing global issues—such as wildlife conservation, plastic pollution, or sustainable agriculture. Participants learn to conduct research, prototype, present, and pitch their ideas through a combination of reporting, design, teamwork, and community-centered activities. Finalists present to global STEM experts and have opportunities for real-world implementation.
The annual competition theme is typically released in December or January. The 2025 theme is "How can we feed the growing population sustainably?"
