Camp Sunshine–a day camp for developmentally disabled children in Ridgewood, New Jersey–offers volunteer counselor positions to students ages 12 and up during its 8-week summer program. Volunteers are assigned to a camper each day and work one-on-one with their camper. Campers participate in daily Arts & Crafts and sports activities, go swimming twice during each day in an adapted, onsite heated swimming pool, and special events such as EMS Day, Unique Creatures, and Dolly the Clown. Our staff and volunteers ensure that our campers get the fullest enjoyment from the opportunities offered at Camp Sunshine. As a volunteer counselor, you will be a friend to one of our campers sharing their lives and letting them share yours.
