Teens ages 13 - 17 are invited to help care for the landscape of Central Park on various Saturdays throughout the year. Projects may include raking, weeding, or mulching depending on the season.

Space is limited and advance registration is required. Sign-ups open approximately four weeks in advance. Registered volunteers receive an email with project details, location, and a liability waiver by the Thursday prior to each session. Participants must complete a parental/guardian consent form before the project. No participants can join without this waiver.

  • Saturdays from 1:00 - 2:00 pm in April to June and September to December

The Central Park Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration, management, and preservation of Central Park in New York City. Founded in 1980, it works in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation to maintain the park’s landscapes, infrastructure, and facilities. The Conservancy is responsible for day-to-day maintenance, fundraising, and implementing conservation projects, relying on private donations for the majority of its funding. It also offers educational programs, volunteer opportunities, and research initiatives to promote urban park stewardship and sustainability.
