Students take three courses over four and half weeks and experience government in action during a multi-day trip to Washington, D.C. where they watch House and Senate debates, observe committee hearings on Capitol Hill, and spend time with officials in the White House and the Supreme Court. In Washington, D.C., students build on what they have learned in the classroom and get a real insider's feel for politics in meetings with representatives of interest groups, national political parties, and the media. 

The program is designed for students with the desire and willingness to learn about politics, economics, U.S. history, and international affairs.

Cost/Compensation

  • Boarding cost: $11,970
  • Day cost: $9,600

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students must be in High School to apply.

Deadline

  • The priority deadline to apply is January 31, 2025.
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from November through June, or until classes are full

  • Transcripts for the prior academic year and current grades
  • Completed online application
  • 2 letters of recommendation from a teacher and a school official
  • Personal statement
  • English language proficiency (for international students only)
