The Summer Music Festival offers violin, viola, and cello students an unprecedented opportunity to study and perform a solo work accompanied by a professional orchestra, with daily private lessons and collaborative training with the conductor and orchestra principals. Advanced students take part in an intensive two-week program, while intermediate students participate in a one-week program.
Summer Music Festival students participate in private lessons, studio performance classes, workshops on musicianship and technique, chamber music, string ensemble, and most importantly, solo training with our professional orchestra and faculty. Our sessions are differentiated to serve the individual needs of each student, building on their existing ability levels in performance, musicianship, and collaboration. Our artist faculty and professional orchestra include experienced teachers and performers from symphonic orchestras throughout the United States.
