CIEE Global Navigator high school summer abroad programs take you outside your comfort zone for 3 to 8 weeks of unforgettable experiences. Have a blast exploring a different culture in over 35 amazing destinations, including Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Tokyo, Rabat, Dublin, Prague, Sydney, and Shanghai. You'll return home with new friends, new skills, a broader worldview, and maybe even earn college credits in high school! Topics of focus include Advocating for Social Justice, Aerospace Engineering, Language and Culture Immersion, Creative Writing, Art, Fashion, Global Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, Video Game Design, and many more.
High school participants:

- Immerse themselves in local communities, along with new friends from around the U.S.
- Develop hard and soft skills in the real world, setting themselves up for success in language proficiency or a topic they’re passionate about.

Cost/Compensation
The tuition for CIEE's high school summer abroad programs varies depending on the program's length, location, and focus area. While specific prices for each program are detailed on their respective pages, the general cost range is as follows:
- 3-week programs: Approximately $4,000 to $5,000
- 4-week programs: Approximately $5,000 to $6,000
- 6 to 8-week programs: Up to $8,450
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must have completed 9th grade prior to the program's start. Rising freshmen are not eligible.
- Participants should be at least 14 years old by the program's start date.
- Both U.S.-based and international high school students are eligible to apply.
- While there is no minimum GPA requirement, the programs are competitive. Most successful applicants have a GPA higher than 3.0.
- Some programs may have specific language proficiency requirements. It's essential to review the individual program pages for detailed prerequisites.
