DoSomething.org is a nonprofit organization for young people in the U.S. and around the world interested in driving social change. DoSomething,org members participate in campaigns and programs to take action on causes that impact them and their communities. Participants choose an existing campaign, get involved, and earn volunteer hours and scholarship opportunities. Campaign areas include Education/STEM, Mental Health, Environment, Voter Registration, Bullying, Discrimination, Gender Rights, Gun Safety, Homelessness & Poverty, LGBTQ+ Rights, Physical Health, Racial Justice, and Sexual Harassment. Participants can get involved in person or virtually, and task options include attending events, contacting decision makers, flagging content online, hosting an event, sharing something, collecting something, donating something, having a conversation, making something, or signing a petition. Some activities take as little as five minutes, others require long-term participation.
