The Engineering Summer Academy at Penn (ESAP) is an intensive, selective three-week program where students explore Engineering at the college level and combine theory with hands-on practical experience. Participants enroll in one of the following courses:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Biotechnology
  • Computer Graphics
  • Computer Science
  • AI x Bio
  • Nanotechnology
  • Robotics

Cost/Compensation

  • $9,250 ($7,750 + $1,500 Deposit Fee)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Rising sophomores to rising seniors (U.S. and international)

Deadline

  • Priority deadline: January 31
  • Final deadline: February 28

  • Online application
  • Essay (two-page limit)
  • Official high school transcript, sent directly from your school via Parchment
  • 1 Letter of Recommendation (by a STEM teacher)
  • $90 non-refundable application fee
  • Standardized test scores are optional
