Feeding America is a nationwide program of food banks, food pantries, and meal programs dedicated to ensuring equitable access to nutrition for all in partnership with policymakers, supporters, and communities. The program welcomes volunteers of all ages in a variety of roles:
- Volunteer at a food bank: Volunteers are needed to sort and pack food, assist in distribution, deliver meals, and clean and garden.
- Host a food drive: Help food banks meet rising demand by hosting a food drive, in person or virtually. Virtual food drives collect online donations and raise critical funds to help food banks make purchases in high-need areas. Traditional food drives collect non-perishable items that are then dropped off at a local food bank.
- Advocate for important legislation: Voice your support for federal legislation that ensures the continuity of important anti-hunger programs such as the School Breakfast Program and the Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP). Contact your federal representatives and spread the word on social media.
