Ghostlight Theater Camp is a summer theater camp for kids and teens. Our core values include joy, creativity, gratitude, and community. Our performing arts camps for kids provide the foundational skills your child will need to begin, as well as more concentrated training programs for more experienced actors. If your child is interested in learning more about the performing arts and developing lifelong skills, our theater program is an excellent place to start. We offer different levels and time frames at our summer camp to best serve a number of different needs, including summer precollege theater programs. Whether your camper wants to learn the building blocks of the performing arts or would like to learn more targeted skills, we offer a program to meet their needs and skill level. Not only do our campers leave with new acting skills, but they will also have developed friendships and social skills that will serve them all their lives. Schedule
- Emerging Artists Program (for first-year campers aged 9-11) – 10 days in July.
- Half or Full summer students - 3-6 weeks, from June to August.
Cost/Compensation
- Emerging Artists Program: around $4,550 including deposit and tuition.
- Half Summer Program: around $7,900 including deposit and tuition.
- Full Summer Program: around $12,800 including deposit and tuition.
Eligibility Requirements
- Campers must be interested in theatrical, performing, and technical arts.
- Campers must be ages 9-17 years old
- Emerging Artists Program is only for first-year campers aged 9-11 years old.

Ghostlight Theater Camp is an acting summer camp for students in grades 7-12 who hope to further their love of theater. The camp has maintained its commitment to fostering a family environment for campers to make artistic leaps and undergo personal transformations. Founded in 2003 as Acting Manitou in Oakland, Maine, Ghostlight began with just 12 campers in the initial summer. The program grew quickly, and in 2008 relocated to a new facility with a flexible theater space as well as numerous performance spaces on the grounds. Ghostlight has hosted countless performances and life-changing summers, and remains dedicated to providing high-caliber theater training in a traditional camp setting, building a tradition of joy, creativity, gratitude, and community.
