GRAMMY Camp is a 7-day, non-residential music industry program for high school students interested in careers in music. Students from across the country apply for one of eight career tracks: 

  • Audio Engineering
  • Electronic Music Production
  • Songwriting
  • Performance - Vocal
  • Music Journalism
  • Video Production and Motion Graphics
  • Music Business
  • Performance - Instrumental

GRAMMY Camp faculty of music professionals, as well as guest professionals, provide valuable insight to give campers the best chance at achieving success in their chosen career.

Location(s)

  • GRAMMY Camp Miami will be held at Miami Art House Studios
  • GRAMMY Camp Los Angeles will be held at the Evergreen Enterprise Experience 
  • GRAMMY Camp New York will be held at Engine Room Audio 

Schedule

  • GRAMMY Camp Miami: Early June
  • GRAMMY Camp Los Angeles: Mid June
  • GRAMMY Camp New York: Late July

Cost/Compensation

  • $3,000

Eligibility Requirements

  • Participants should be U.S. residents currently enrolled in grades 9-12. Seniors graduating in the spring are welcome to apply, but incoming freshmen are not eligible.
  • All campers must secure housing and transportation with a parent or guardian for the week.

Application or Entry Requirements

  • Completed online application
  • Short video essay explaining what you hope to gain by participating in GRAMMY Camp. Some possible questions to address can include why you want to attend GRAMMY Camp; how you will benefit if accepted; your long-term career goal(s) in the music industry; and some influences in your preferred career track
  • Audition materials specific to each career track

Notifications of Decisions

  • Selected campers will be contacted in early May

Financial Aid Details

  • Need–based financial assistance is available. Interested applicants must complete the Financial Assistance Form in addition to completing all other application materials.

The GRAMMY Museum, established in 2008 and located in downtown Los Angeles, is an interactive museum dedicated to celebrating the enduring legacy and cultural impact of music. As an official affiliate of the Recording Academy, the museum offers visitors a comprehensive exploration of music history, from its earliest roots to the present day, through a dynamic array of exhibits, artifacts, and immersive experiences. Visitors can delve into the stories behind iconic artists, albums, and genres, explore the creative process of songwriting and recording, and engage with cutting-edge technology that brings the world of music to life. In addition to its permanent collection, the GRAMMY Museum hosts rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and live performances that showcase the diversity and vitality of music culture.
