The Harvard Ventures-TECH Summer Program (HVTSP) is a competitive online summer program that runs for six weeks and allows high school students to immerse themselves in the startup ecosystem. No entrepreneurial experience is required. The program pairs students with industry-leading, venture capital-backed startups run by entrepreneurs solving world-changing problems. Students also attend daily seminars and workshops run by founders of multimillion-dollar companies, world-class investors, and Harvard University professors.

  • Session I: June 9 to July 18
  • Session II: July 7 to August 15

Cost/Compensation

  • Tuition: $4750
  • Application fee: $35

Eligibility Requirements

  • All high school grades and international applicants are encouraged to apply
  • Students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs may not participate
  • Students who have graduated high school but are on a gap year or are yet to begin their undergraduate studies may apply

Deadline

  • Admissions are conducted on a rolling basis
  • Invite-Only Round: December 31 application deadline
  • Early Round: February 28 application deadline
  • Regular Round: April 14 application deadline

Application or Entry Requirements

  • Short essays (300 words)
  • Short questions
  • Prospective students are evaluated based on scholarly merit and their demonstrated interest in HVTSP
  • Applicants may be requested to participate in an interview on Zoom

Notifications of Decisions

  • Invite-Only Round: by January 25
  • Early Round: by March 14
  • Regular Round: by April 30

Financial Aid Details

  • HVTSP is able to provide scholarships on a case-by-case basis to accepted high school students with demonstrated need
  • Admissions are conducted on a need-blind basis
  • After a candidate is admitted, their financial aid request is considered and financial aid may be awarded based on numerous factors
