InvestWrite is an innovative national writing competition offered exclusively to teachers and 4th-12th grade students participating in The Stock Market Game. To participate in InvestWrite, students who are already participating in The Stock Market Game respond to the writing prompt issued by the contest in the fall or spring. InvestWrite judges will review and score the entries based on rationale, understanding the subject matter, and writing style, and the top 10 students in each grade division of InvestWrite will be recognized for their excellence with various prizes. 

Spring 2025 Writing Prompts: 

  • Grades 4-5: What’s your dream for the future? What did you learn in the Stock Market Game that could help you achieve this dream? If you had $10,000 to invest now, what would you invest in, including at least one of your Stock Market Game investments, to achieve your dream in 10 years (300-800 words)
  • Grades 6-8: What’s your dream for the future? What did you learn in the Stock Market Game that could help you achieve this dream? If you had $10,000 to invest now, what would you invest in, including at least one of your Stock Market Game investments, to achieve your dream in 10 years (400-900 words).
  • Grades 9-12: What’s your dream for the future? What did you learn in the Stock Market Game that could help you achieve this dream? If you had $10,000 to invest now, what would you invest in, including at least one of your Stock Market Game investments, to achieve your dream in 10 years (500-1000 words).

Notifications of Decisions

  • Allow 10-12 weeks after deadline for notification of results
