Maine Media Academy’s summer 4-week Film School offers teen students an immersive and creatively stimulating experience as they create work with the guidance and mentorship of professional filmmakers. Whether you are looking to journey more deeply into developing your creative voice as a filmmaker or seeking a pre-college film experience that will allow you to create your portfolio, these workshops afford students the opportunity to engage with all the key dynamics of filmmaking in a nurturing environment. And it all happens in a beautiful harbor town on the coast of Maine.
The 4-week Summer Film School is comprised of two workshops. It starts with a 2-week Film School that provides students with a solid hands-on foundation in the processes and techniques of filmmaking as they make collaborative and individual work. This is followed by a 2-week Advanced Film School that takes students more deeply into the dynamics of creative expression in filmmaking. Discover how to take your work to a new level and make it land with impact.
