Maine Media Academy Summer Photo School offers two, two-week workshops for aspiring photographers.
Two-Week Digital Photography: This workshop is for young photographers wanting to explore and excel in digital photography. Learn the technical capabilities of digital camera functions, file management, Adobe Lightroom, printing, and image editing.
2-Week Historic and Alternative Photography: Step back in time and discover the art of historic photography in this immersive two-week workshop designed for young artists ready to explore the roots of photography. Stepping into the darkroom and the lab, this hands-on course introduces students to classic photographic processes like silver gelatin film developing and printing, cyanotype, lumen printing, and wet plate collodion (making tintypes) – all while embracing experimentation to discover new methods for your photography.
