NYU SPS High School Academy - Climate Change, Sustainable Development, and Universal Rights
The global climate crisis is a powerful focal point for looking at a range of connected issues: earth science, our energy infrastructure, sustainable development, and human security – security, according to the UN, equated “with people rather than territories, with development rather than arms.”
If you have an interest in global affairs and are thinking about it as a potential career path, this week-long program provides a comprehensive overview of some of the most pressing issues facing us in the world today. Join faculty from the Center for Global Affairs and guest speakers who will address these issues. The program includes site visits, readings and multimedia, as well as a debate and other exercises. This program will broaden your horizons, increase your insight into these complex issues, and enhance your perspective on the world in which we live.
