Summer Performing Arts With Juilliard is a fully immersive summer festival for ages 12–18 spanning dance, drama, musical theater, piano, and voice. Hosted off-site at cutting-edge facilities in Orlando, Florida, this program offers two-week intensives and is run in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education.
Students develop technical skills and artistic capacities in daily studio classes, workshops, seminars, rehearsals, and lessons, with a typical day running from 9am-5pm. Students are exposed to college-level coursework in their major as well as interdisciplinary skills from faculty of other majors, preparing them for college and career auditions and the many pathways that the performing arts can take them. Summer Performing Arts With Juilliard is rooted in rigorous training within an atmosphere that is infused with positivity and celebrates the success of each student.
Since launching in 2016, Summer Performing Arts With Juilliard has welcomed artists from 20+ countries each summer. Students arrive with a range of cultural and technical experiences and each student is challenged to grow, re-examine, and deepen their artistic skillset by the faculty. The festival is led by Juilliard artist faculty, which includes Juilliard alumni, faculty, and guest artists as well as industry leaders and professors from other top institutions, offering a breadth of lived experiences. The program provides rich opportunities for personal and artistic growth within this summer camp-meets-performing arts festival experience. Students may apply and attend for one or both sessions for a total of two or four weeks.
Summer Performing Arts With Juilliard takes place at Windermere Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida, which is home to the Cypress Center for the Performing Arts. Students can opt to attend as a boarding student or as a day student; boarding students live in luxury townhouses and will also participate in local excursions.
